For over two generations our families, the McGuinness’ and Eivers’ have been delivering cracking good eggs throughout the country. Sourcing our eggs from 30 local farming families, our eggs are 100% natural, the eggiest and tastiest eggs you will find anywhere in Ireland.

Over 40 years ago Paddy McGuinness started his egg business delivering the best and freshest eggs on his bicycle, his basket piled high with his precious eggs. Bernard Eivers started his business with 150 free range hens back in 1985. Today, we still have local families calling in to our hen houses to buy their eggs to take home to their chicks.

With the next generation of the family wanting to come home to roost, Brian from the Eivers clan and Adrienne from the McGuinness’ hatched a plan to make Golden Irish the brightest, boldest and sunniest egg you can eat. Not wanting to be left with egg on our faces, we talked to egg-centrics, egg-phobics, egg lovers, egg-beaters, we even talked to the chickens! As sure as eggs are eggs we found out what really makes the perfect egg – happy hens.

Our clucky team work hard to ensure our hens have the healthiest grub, rich in omega 3 and corn. Today, we bring our tried and tested ranges of eggs to every corner of Ireland all to make sure you have the perfect eggs for your meals.

Dish of the month... Mushroom Omlette Omelettes are so quick to make that it’s just not worth cooking a large one for two. Don’t be tempted to over-beat the omelette, as it will spoil the texture.
